Garena launched Garena introduced the Garena Professional League (GPL) in the month of May 2012, a 6 month professional gaming league that includes hundreds of online games. The inaugural season of GPL features six teams made up of professionals League of Legends players. Each team is comprised of the top players in their respective nations. GPL games are recorded, and live streamed online with commentary, available for viewing on the GPL's official website. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two teams that are new to Taiwan and Vietnam and Vietnam, which bring the amount of teams up to eight. These teams include AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Saigon Jokers, Taipei Assassins and Singapore Sentinels. Garena's Sports stadium that is exclusively dedicated to esports at the Neihu District Taipei, opened its doors on the 14th of November on the 14th of November, 2014. It was initially constructed in order to host the League of Legends Masters Series, the top-level Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau LoL league, which is a part of the GPL. The first month of January in 2015, Garena launched Iron Solari League the first women's League of Legends tournament in the Philippines. The event takes place in the second month of every month. This event aims at encouraging participation by communities that are underrepresented and is open to any women who identify as an under-represented group. Garena is not only a tournament organizer but also other offline events and events that allow users to engage. Garena also organizes the Garena carnival, which takes place every year in Singapore as well as Malaysia. Gerina Gerina Gerina
