Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and musician who started her career through smart raps that addressed gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was through the instrument of trumpet. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. At college, she was studying writing and women's studies. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. When she graduated, she started to focus on music. The track My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a popular viral sensation across the Internet and was later featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. A musician and author was as her credentials, she began looking for acting in a third project. In addition to early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films like Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released In Fina We Trust.
